FOR MAINE
Meet Angus

WHO I AM
Builder. Innovator. Dad.
Angus spent decades working on some of our toughest challenges, building affordable housing for thousands of people, and delivering hundreds of megawatts of clean wind and solar energy across the country and around the world. And here in Maine, he built a renewable energy company in the heart of a gas utility, whose project in Clinton now turns cow manure into energy, heating thousands of Maine homes and businesses, lowering emissions and putting Mainers to work every day, all without increasing costs for Maine families.
Born in Skowhegan, Angus now lives in Portland with his wife, two children, and Snowy the dog. They spend as much time as possible enjoying Maine’s woods, waters, and outdoors, including hunting, hiking, and fishing. There’s no better place than Maine – and Angus won’t quit until Maine is even better for all of us who are lucky enough to call it home.

Why I’m Running
Building A Better Maine for Everyone
As governor, Angus will work tirelessly to build a better Maine for every day Mainers – where costs are lower for the people who haul traps, weld steel, get their kids up in the morning, and still cover the late shift at night. Where it’s easier for innovators and small businesses to grow our economy. Where there is job training for the jobs we have right now, and where all workers are respected and treated with dignity. Where government responds to those who need it, and doesn’t slow down the people who are raring to go. Where healthcare is affordable and our rights are always protected.
For some, all that may seem impossible. But Angus has spent his career bringing people together and focusing on what we have in common, not what divides us. He takes on big challenges. And never stops until the job is done. He’ll always fight for what’s right for Maine people, no matter who or what tries to stand in the way. In Maine. In Washington. Or anywhere else.
